- His tremendous talent, drive, and ambition to become a professional soccer player in Europe led to a semi-professional contract with Eintracht Frankfurt at the age of 18 (while he was still in high school).
- After graduating from High School, Sven received a full-scholarship offer from Birmingham-Southern College (BSC) in Alabama (NCAA Division I), which he took.
- In 2004, he left BSC to return to Germany where he played in fourth league for 1 1/2 years.
- Wanting to further his education, he returned to the United States in 2005, when he received a full-scholarship offer from Azusa Pacific University (NAIA).
